WORK IN PROGRESS

I always have a bunch of personal projects on the back burner, working on them whenever I have time. Sometimes they get forgotten or abandoned, and most times they change completely by the time I finish them. These projects are where I explore new ideas and try out whatever has my fancy at the time. I created this space to share these half formed works in progress, they are a glimpse into my latest experiments.

Trek Impressions

I went on the Kedarkantha Trek with my brothers and a friend and since then I have wanted to make a small book using the photos clicked on the trip and maybe include some illustrations. I want to explore some interesting layouts and also make the book so I would remember the spectacular landscape, stunning colours and the sharp crystal clear air each time I look at it.

A Short History of Nearly Everything

I've been working on a book cover for 'The Short History of Nearly Everything' by Bill Bryson. The book is full of interesting stories about the world and the history of different sciences. I thought a vintage collage treatment would work very well to represent the book and I'm still working on picking the right images to include in the collage.

Jaipur book

I started this book as a way to try out some layouts I hadn't explored yet, with images cropped in interesting ways and arranged with a lot of white space. I took a bunch of photos on a trip to Jaipur and I'm planning to do a bit of research on the city and writing a bit about it to go with the photos.

The Homefood Manual

I was going to move to a new city and start living on my own for the first time and decided to make a book full of recipes and tips from my mother to help me with figuring out my way around the kitchen. Unfortunately I didn't get very far (hardly even started) and just called her whenever I needed help. I've revisited this now and I'm currently figuring out how to design the recipe pages.
